Why did Thomas Nutt murder his wife on their wedding night?

Thomas Nutt (46) married Don Walker (52) last year on October 27, 2021. Thomas had earlier been to jail for abusing his wife for coercing her. It was recorded in the CCTV that Thomas was seen murdering his wife and keeping her in a suitcase and roaming in the garden. After all this, Thomas filed a missing report of his new wife after 4 days.

After the police arrested Thomas, Thomas confessed his crime and told him that this murder was an incident. I had no intention of doing this, my wife was bipolar, she attacked me first and by mistake, I took her life.

Thomas, instead of reporting the incident to the police, went on a honeymoon to the Skegness Recreation Area and returned 4 days later, decorated the things his wife had bought, and then surrendered to the police.

Prosecutor Emma Covington, the judge sentenced on 19 August 2022, said that the happiest day of Dawn Walker’s life had turned into a terrible day, she could not have imagined that the man she was marrying would take her life. Thomas first got the missing report written for his wife and then played a false ploy to claim his innocence. The judge sentenced Thomas to life in prison.
