According to the US Capitol Police, the 29-year-old man named Richard Aaron. who shot himself with his handgun on August 14, 2022, after it crashed into the barricades of the US Capitol in Washington, DC. The incident happened at 4 a.m. on East Capitol Street and Second Street. Richard, who was carrying a weapon in his vehicle, suddenly his car engulfed in flames, due to which he got out of the car.
Richard fires in the air on East Capitol Street. With the sound of his firing, the Capital Police started moving in his direction. Seeing the police coming towards him, 29-year-old Richard shot himself. Police say that no police officers were fired at the time of the incident, nor did any other person get hurt.
The police have not been able to find out why Richard did this. Because no member of Congress was to be marked because the officers and members were on vacation in August. Police are investigating the reason behind Richard Aaron’s entry inside the barricades.
