Tinder Date Turns Deadly: Woman Tries to Hire Hitman to Kill Cop Ex and His Daughter!

This isn’t the plot of a Netflix thriller — it’s real life, and it’s incredibly unsettling.

Jaclyn Diiorio, a 26-year-old hairstylist from Runnemede, New Jersey, is at the center of a murder-for-hire case that’s left many people stunned. According to police, she tried to hire someone to kill her ex-boyfriend — a Philadelphia police officer — and his teenage daughter. And she allegedly tried to arrange it with a Tinder match.

Yes, you read that right.

From Cutting His Hair to Planning His Death?

It’s not entirely clear how long they were romantically involved, but Diiorio knew the man well. She used to cut his hair. Somewhere along the way, things turned personal — then messy.

Their relationship ended in early March. But according to investigators, she wasn’t done. She allegedly started looking for someone to make sure her ex — and his daughter — wouldn’t be around anymore.

That’s when she matched with someone on Tinder and began pitching what police say was a murder plot. What she didn’t know? That “Tinder date” was actually working with law enforcement.

A Deadly Deal in a Dollar Store Lot

Between March 31 and April 4, police say Diiorio met the informant multiple times, laying out a plan and agreeing to pay $12,000 for the killings. In one of the most shocking moments of the case, she reportedly handed over $500 as a down payment — in a Dollar General parking lot.

Not long after, she was arrested. Police say she also had unprescribed Xanax on her at the time.

What She’s Facing Now

Diiorio is currently being held without bail, charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and possession of a controlled substance. Her court hearing is set for April 9.

The ex-boyfriend and his daughter — who thankfully were unharmed — remain unidentified for safety reasons, but authorities confirmed he is a longtime member of the Philadelphia Police Department.

A Chilling Reminder

This case is a jarring reminder of how dangerous situations can arise when emotions, obsession, and poor decisions collide. What started as a failed relationship allegedly turned into a plan to take lives — including a child’s.

It also shows how quickly things can spiral — and why even online connections can take terrifying turns.

As the legal process moves forward, many are asking the same question: What really pushed her to do this? And how many red flags went unseen before it reached this point?
