New Zealand Educator Toby Curtis dies at 82

Toby Curtis’s real name is Noble Thomson Curtis. He was a notable New Zealand educator and Māori leader. He was best known as the uncle of Cliff Curtis, an actor. Toby was known for being an education supporter. He was widely praised for his space successes.

Toby Curtis was born in Rotoehu, New Zealand on 13 November 1939. He died at the age of 82 on 17 August 2022 at his home on Lake Rotoiti. Toby lived with his wife Mary Agnes Sherry and their 4 children. Tobi’s death has deeply shocked his loved ones and his family. Tobi is always ahead of the welfare of the Māori clan. The Maori people were deeply saddened by Tobi’s death.

Toby earned his Ph.D. from the University of Auckland in 2005 after completing his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ardmore Teachers College and the University of Auckland. After this, he became the leader of the Maori. In 2012 Toby has worked in the council of tribal immersion schools Naga Kura-e-iwi o Aotearoa and Te Wananga o Aotearoa.
