Pennsylvania Man Accused of Killing Wife Inside Her Nissan After Alleged Argument Over “Disrespect”

ROCKLEDGE, Pennsylvania — A quiet Montgomery County borough has been shaken by a deadly domestic violence case after a man was charged with fatally shooting his wife inside her own vehicle following an argument, authorities said.

The incident happened along Huntingdon Pike in Rockledge, a small community just outside Philadelphia. The case is being investigated by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office along with local police.

According to investigators, 59-year-old Jose Antonio Luna and his 48-year-old wife, Alisett Schubert, had attended a social gathering earlier that evening. Authorities allege that tensions escalated during the event and continued as the couple drove home.

Prosecutors claim Luna believed his wife had “disrespected him in front of others,” which allegedly fueled a heated argument inside the vehicle, a Nissan Murano registered to Schubert.

During the dispute, police say the situation turned violent. Investigators allege that Luna gained control of a .38-caliber revolver and fired multiple shots at his wife while she was in or near the driver’s seat.

Witnesses nearby reported hearing gunfire and seeing a woman collapse outside the vehicle. Emergency responders transported Schubert to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Arrest and Charges

Authorities located Luna a short distance from the scene. According to police, he attempted to turn the firearm on himself, but the weapon did not discharge. Officers were able to take him into custody without further incident.

Luna is now facing several serious charges, including first-degree murder, third-degree murder, and possession of an instrument of crime. He is being held without bail as court proceedings move forward.
